A FORMER nursing home assistant who sneaked two mobile phones into a prison was herself put behind bars.
Chantelle Collins, 22, sobbed in the dock as she was jailed for 10 months for taking the prohibited items into Walton jail.
Helen Morris, prosecuting, told Liverpool crown court Collins was caught on CCTV handing the phones over to the prisoner on February 10.
Neil Cobley, defending, said Collins had agreed to deliver the phones to pay £200 off a drug debt.

The night before, she had been in hospital suffering with gallstones and was on prescribed morphine, but felt she had “no choice” other than to take the items to the unknown man. |
